Welcome to the Amalfi Coast. I can’t believe I’m saying this. So, we are here in beautiful Italy with the Vespa trip and travel base and we have got a whole week of wonderful adventure to share with you.
I’m so excited to share exactly what we’re going to be doing. We are visiting so many beautiful places along the Amalfi Coast. Positano, uh, Pompei, Rall, there’s so many different places and we’re doing it on a Vespa. I can’t quite believe it. It’s going to be the adventure of a lifetime. I will share everything with you in the description bar of how to book your own Vespa trip. It’s so affordable and it is honestly just the most amazing adventure. We’ve just literally come down here now and already I absolutely love it.
So, they also have loads of different routes whether you want to go to Tuscany or Madera. I think they do loads of different countries not just Italy. So yes, I absolutely cannot wait to share with you guys what we’re going to be doing this week. So, keep on watching.
But first of all, let’s do travel day. We’re going to rewind and get all the way back to when we arrive in Italy. When we arrived to Italy, we got the transferred to our hotel, which was all organized and booked through the Vespa trip and travel base. And once we’d settled in, we met with our lovely guides who gave us a lesson in how to ride the Vespa until we were confident. It was so easy to pick up, and we loved it straight away. Then we met with the rest of our group for welcome drinks and some info about the week. The great thing about the Vespa trip is that you can either spend time with the group and the guides or you can go off and do your own thing with a GPS that you can rent from them. It’s so good for groups or couples or solos as you can meet loads of lovely people too and you have the expert guide to help you with every step of the trip if you want.
Taking our first break. We got a lemon, not limoncello. What’s it called? Lemon granita. Stew went orange. Orange. And it’s very nice.

We’ve got Positano, which is what we’ve just been looking out at in Harrenita, which is very refreshing. This is obviously a hot spot for people cuz there’s absolutely tons of um like even these sorts of private buses, I guess, tour buses. That’ll be what it is. Um but the Vesa is just incredible. Like I honestly didn’t think I would love it as much as I do. It’s just amazing. It’s absolutely amazing. Like so much more so much better than I thought it would be.
I just can’t really explain it. I just feel so free. The views are, as you can see, stunning. I just Oh, I just love it.

So, we are in Positano. Positano. I think that’s how you say it. And sorry, but it’s just not stunning. We’ve just had a break. So, we’ve been driving maybe an hour with a break in the middle when we had that ice cream, which was nice. Or ice granita. Um, and oh my god, the lemon print is everywhere.
Everyone’s loving the lemons. I might go in. The trouble is we only have our little bag, so we can’t really store it.

Um, maybe we could do it closer to where we’re staying uh to buy anything. I love it. Having a Vespa is like the best way to get around though. These roads are really narrow. I decided to do it’s a bit like Cornwall but obviously not anything like Cornwall but like how everything’s really hilly and like there’s just it’s so tight to get around. So, having Vespa is amazing.

What do you think of it? Like how you find it? Yeah, I’m definitely uh we’re like should we get one for home? Got quadrophia vibes when we get that. What does that mean? You never seen quadrophenia? No. Really famous film. Uh Sting is the leading Stinger. Yeah. And they tied a load of Vespas down to uh Oh, okay. I think it’s bright. Oh, it’s a film, right? Okay. UN Culture uncultured. It’s probably from the 80s.
Is it Yeah, I think 80s or maybe No, I think it is 80s. Okay. Yeah.

We’ve come down from the cliff area into Positano town, like town center. Uh so many beautiful shops. Love it. I just I we keep saying to each other like can’t believe we’re here. Like this is not a normal Tuesday. We are here in Italy.

All these places I’ve been seeing on social media for years and we’re actually here. And not only are we here, we’re actually like doing it on a Vespa.
So iconic.

We’ve just arrived. My driver, you’re so good. Thanks. You’re so good at driving.
I love it. And I’m like sat on the back and I’m just like feel so protected and I love it. Want to get by. Yeah. We now want to get better for home. I just wanted to show you this quickly. We were about to have some lunch. But look at this. how stunning it is. This is Rell and uh this is like the square. You’ve got up here there’s some steps up there which we’re going to go to after lunch and then you can look down into the view. But we are going to go Oh, more lemons. More lemons. We’re going to go down here. Villa Maria apparently is a really nice restaurant. So, let’s get some food.
Yeah, we’re going to have some lunch here and then we’re going to go and explore and have a look around like get the little mini drone out and um have a look around and then after this we’re heading to Maui to the beach area. Just a little tip by the way, you will need cash for car parking. So, make sure you have some small notes. We might need to change some of those. Yeah, you need it for parking. We are just actually going to a Amalfi now. So, the actual, like I said, the actual town or city or beach, whatever it is, be lovely. We are, we’ve just arrived back in the Maui now. It’s a little bit bumpy. So, we came in from, obviously we went past it earlier. I filmed it, but we’re actually in there now. So, have a look around.

Over there is where we came in down that road there. And then we got our ice cream there and we just sat on one of the benches. But then here is like a little beach area. There is a main beach over there, but it’s absolutely rammed.

Obviously, this is actually pretty busy as well. But it’s just a nice little spot to sit.
Oh my god. I can’t know. I’m very achy. Yeah, that last drive was about an hour and a half. That was the longest drive we’ve done all day. Um, but we’re back at six o’clock now and oh, it’s just so good. So, if you are doing this, the massive tip is that you should wear either trainers or clothes um shoes that like strap up behind your behind your heel because otherwise you’re like kind of grasping onto your toes to stop your shoe from falling off. Um, but yeah, we’re just going to probably go down to the pool now and have a little bit of a chill down there. Um, so yeah, we’ll do that and then we will be going out for some food. There’s a little village right down in the town. Loads of restaurants down in the town basically. So yeah, it’s just amazing. I just loved it so much. Didn’t you? We just like he’s just having a drink. But yeah, we just kept going like this is so good. Like it’s just brilliant. Yeah. So much fun.
It’s a bit noisy out here cuz I’ve just put some sort of fan on. But yeah, we’ll see you in the morning.
We have just arrived in Pompei. It’s getting very warm now. So, I think I might have to take this off. But we’ve just paid to have an audio guide of the um English speaking guide so we know what we’re looking at because obviously it’s going to be so much history here.
Can already see it. It’s looking good.

It’s very busy. Well, actually, I don’t know if it is busy. It’s probably just like one big group have gone in. Um, so yeah, let’s go to Pompei.

Very much needed the fan. My best friend, the hair’s gone up. Very, very hot. Just be careful if you come here cuz the ground is quite uneven cuz obviously it’s hundreds of years old. Understandable.
We’re the other side now of where we just were. So that’s the Basilica there.
But what I wanted to tell you was have you seen the um pyramid stuff? So, they’re basically saying that the pyramid as it’s as it is like the triangular triangle whatever the shape is on the top pyramid shape it’s probably called a pyramid shape uh is just literally think of it like a roof.
They’ve actually discovered that underneath it is a full building city whatever they’re ginormous. Um so like that is incredible. No one knew that it was there. I mean, they haven’t uncovered it yet, but that’s what they’re saying through their, you know, they can like X-ray through the ground.
So, yeah, that sort of thing. If you know anything about that, let me know.
Anyway, I think we’re heading out now.

We definitely need to drink. Top tip, wear trainers because um it’s so uneven and um if you’re not able body, then like just check whether like this is going to be suitable because it is really difficult to walk around. Um and wear a hat cuz you’re out in the open. and bring a drink which we did not do. Did two out of three. No, I did one out of three.

Just come now down to uh the beach which is the in meta I think it’s called that.
I’m going to find out. We’re going to have some lunch here which the Vesper trip have organized. Um but yeah, it’s a hot spot. Like there’s lots of little tiny cues along this route.
Oh, lovely. Yeah, that’s so nice because if you are on your own, this is a really great trip to do. Got marks because you can meet so many friends like everyone just chats and gets on. If you don’t want to, you don’t have to. Yeah, good.

So, yeah, we have some lunch here.

We just had such a lovely lunch with our American friends. They’re from Virginia and um we it’s I always love meeting like different people on holiday and like hearing about where they’re from and what they do and stuff. We’ll be heading back, I think, to the hotel. And also, I think we might have some chill time this afternoon. It’s been so packed because we’ve got so much to fit in. Um, but I think we might be able to go and chill by the pool, which would be lovely.
It’s going to be so dark, but we finished our meal. We’re heading back up the hill. We’re walking back up the hill. This hill is quite high, isn’t it?
Quite steep, but it’s really close. Like literally just down there is 5 minutes.
All the eeriest and restaurants. We will see you in the morning. We’ve got a really fun day to get tomorrow again.

Yeah, loads of good things on the agenda. So, we’ll share more with you in the morning.
Oh, good morning. We’re on our last day today. Well, we go tomorrow, but it’s our last day in the saddle. We’re going to give the bikes back today. Uh, but we’ve got such an exciting day ahead. We are going to go up a mountain. So, that is up next. Um, what else are we doing today? Oh, and then we’re going down to Sorrento to a beach area around there.

And yeah, just loads more. So, just getting ready for the day. I mean, I don’t know why I’m bothering to do my hair because I’m literally hat all day. Uh but yes, let’s get ready.
We’ve just come off to a viewpoint.

Not got the right shoes on, guys. I wore sandals today cuz got a dress on and uh it’s a little bit off road, but look, well worth it. Look at the view to look out from. Obviously, we were down there last couple of days ago and now we’re up here. It’s so cloudy, though. Like, you can see the cloud.
We’re literally in the clouds, which is pretty cool. We’ve come up here to Mount Fate Fet. And um this over here is all Naples.

you can’t actually see it at the moment, I don’t think, but there is Mount Vesuvius there, which you just I don’t know if you can see that, but makes you realize how big it is. And then you probably can’t see that either, but there’s like a brown sort of square area. And that is all of where we went yesterday, Pompei. So, yeah, pretty epic viewpoint. And then down here, I’m going to go down there now and show you.
Oh yeah.

Don’t know if you can see this alleyway with all the flags. I was just saying about the flags in the background. So yeah, we’re just headed back to the main square bit, I think, because there is a different part of it. I think she said there’s like more traditional and then a more uh more modern side.
It’s very busy here, but it is very, very beautiful. Like, there’s so many different little shops on all of those alleyways, as you saw. Uh, but yeah, loads of places to eat, loads of places to have a drink. It’s lovely. It is busy though. It’s not like a quiet seaside sort of coastal town. Very busy. And there’s lots like it’s obviously up high. It’s not like down low a bit.
This is so fun. So, we are going down to Baggy Regina, I think it’s called. Uh, which is like a hidden place to go swimming. Say hidden. There are many people here, so they obviously know about it, too. Um, oh, there’s all the bikes. We’re heading down to hidden swim spot. Didn’t bring any swimmers, so that’s a bit of a failure.

We’re done now. We’re going to head back to our hotel, our final night. I think we’ve got a goodbye dinner, which is really sweet. The guys do obviously get to know everybody on these trips, so it’s really nice. And um yeah, we’re going to walk back up that massive hill.

So, we are just going to drop our helmets back off. Yes, you can. Yeah. I think we might just have a little drink in the pool bar and then we have to go pack 30. So, it’s an early one tomorrow.

We’re in the airport. This is a sad goodbye to Italy. Without a doubt, one of the best experiences we have ever had. Absolutely surpassed all expectations. I just was just smiling the entire time. Like literally all day on the bikes. Uh it was just amazing.
