The Castle has been the residence of many illustrious Florentine families throughout the centuries, such as the Scolari, the family of the famous general Pippo Spano, and the Pitti, before becoming the property of the Medici family. Since the second half of the 1800s it was purchased by Counts Pandolfini who still own the villa.
The Castle is located just 12 km away from Florence, in the heart of the Chianti Classico area.
Surrounded by na enchanting panorama of olive trees and vineyards, it is the ideal place to indulge in a relaxing stay, enjoying tranquility and serenity, embraced by the beautiful hills of Chianti. This is also the perfect location for organizing private events, weddings and enjoying the best days of your life.
The historical residence is made up of a large complex, consisting of the villa, the tower, the romantic park, the French garden, the outside pool surrounded by olive groves, a sunbathing and barbecue area. The breathtaking panoramic terrace overlooks the rolling hills of Chianti and the Dome of Florence Cathedral.
The nearby Via Chiantigiana offers a perfect route for reaching the most famous places in Chianti such as Greve and Panzano or nearby Siena. From Panzano onwards the road follows the crests of the hills, offering a succession of unique panoramic views. Visitors are simply spoilt for choice as to where to stop to take photos to recall an unforgettable holiday.
Florence is just 20 minutes’ drive away, but it is also possible to use the public transport available just a few kilometres from the property which will save you the trouble of looking for a parking place in the city.
For golf lovers, the superb course of the Ugolino golf club is very close.
The large garden has two fully equipped pergolas where guests can relax or dine in the open air. On a lower terrace there is the infinity-edge swimming pool (12×8 m, 1.50 m deep)(01/05-15/10) with next to it the pool-house with shower and fridge for drinks.
The villa is mostly furnished with antique pieces which help to maintain its particular charm.

2nd Floor: sitting room, 1 double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower, 2 connecting twin bedrooms sharing a bathroom with bathtub, 1 recently renovated 1200-square-foot double bedroom with a stunning view, an exceptional sitting area; the bedroom with a king-size bed has a very spacious and comfortable bathroom with shower and bathtub.
The villa is provided with central heating and air conditioning in all the bedrooms (mobile units), stairlift to reach the first floor.
PLEASE NOTE: The owner lives in the other wing of the villa, with completely independent entrance and gardens so that reciprocal privacy is fully guaranteed. Possibility to add a double bedroom on the ground floor, with portable air conditioning and bathroom with shower, suitable for persons with disabilities. There are a few well educated cats and dogs within the property.

Daily cleaning service from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Unlimited access to Wi-Fi Internet.

NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL:
Additional cleaning service upon request.
Additional electricity beyond 1250 kWh, charged at €0.70/kWh.
Pool heating at €150/day, with a minimum charge of 7 days.

Pool Opening:
The pool is open from May to September. For the remaining period, it is available upon request and may incur an additional charge. During the rest of the year, the pool can be made available upon request, with a possible surcharge. Please inform us in advance if you are interested in using the heated pool. Heating is available only during non-summer months and requires the cover to be maintained over the pool. A staff member will handle the daily opening and closing of the pool (otherwise, the heat would dissipate, making heating ineffective).
