Villa L’Olivo di Ischia – Forio – Ischia
6 Double bedrooms – Pool
Villa Ulivi is ideal for travelers who wish to feel at home away from home, who appreciate the refined elegance of an exclusive villa, who require the privacy and tranquillity of a verdant park with amazing views on one of the most charming bays of the island.
The privileged position, only a few minutes from the village of Forio, the beach of San Francesco and the famous La Mortella Gardens, makes it the ideal base to explore the island of Ischia.
At the center of the estate, the Villa dominates the garden and the large pool, enjoying amazing views on the hills and the sea.
Its two floors, also separable in three independent apartments, offer the ideal accommodation for a large family or a group of friends: 6 bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, 3 kitchens, spacious living room with fireplace, dining-room, intimate library for a total surface of almost 400 sm..
Terraces and balconies offer private spaces for relax, while porches and flower filled courtyards are perfect places to enjoy mild evenings and al fresco dining.
Interior decoration is inspired to the fabulous 60s, when on William Walton’s trail many personalities of the cultural and business world discovered the charm of Ischia.
The Villa and the three additional cottages lie in a lush terraced park, characterized by the typical drywalls in local volcanic stone.
It is protected from northern winds by the surrounding hills, among which the Epomeo dominates with its 800 m height, and it faces to the west the charming bay of Forio.
The extraordinary microclimate favors not only an unusual variety of Mediterranean plants and flowers, but also the growth of many tropical species. The little olive grove around the Villa, the citrus fruit orchard and the vegetable garden on the higher terraces of the park offer extra delicacies for its guests.

THE ORCHARD HOUSE
The former home of the peasant, who cared after the orchard, the olive grove and the vegetable garden, situated in the north-western corner of the property near one of the two entrances to the park, has been transformed in a beautiful Mediterranean house. On a single level it offers the ideal accommodation for a family or a small group of friends: 3 bedrooms with private bathrooms, the largest one with Jacuzzi, spacious kitchen, dining room, large living room with billiard-table corner and fireplace for a total surface of 170 sm. Furnishings and decorations by local artisans create an elegant and relaxed island atmosphere.
THE CITRUS HOUSE
When the citruses are blossoming, dinner under the porch of the Citrus house can become an inebriant experience.
On a single level it offers the ideal accommodation for a couple with children: 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, spacious kitchen with dining corner, living room for a total surface of 80 sm.
Exterior porches face the orchard and the hills while interior spaces offer an elegant and relaxed island atmosphere.
THE RED HOUSE
It is probably the most charming accommodation at Villa, because it is built on a crag at the highest point of the property, with a privileged view on Forio and mount Epomeo. Featuring a vague moorish inspiration, it offers the ideal accommodation for a couple. The total surface of almost 45 sm is divided on two levels: a living room with kitchen corner at the ground floor opening to a delightful corner of the gardens; an intimate bedroom with fireplace on the first floor connected by a winding staircase carved out of volcanic rock and a bathroom with shower inside a circular little tower.
Villa Gli Ulivi enjoys a tranquil and panoramic position in the north-western side of the island of Ischia, privileged set of some of its most exclusive mansions. The historical centre of Forio, as well as San Francesco beach, are within walking distance.
Close by are also the famous botanical garden ‘La Mortella’, where the Walton Foundation organizes concerts during the summer season, and the Negombo thermal park. Buses stopping near the property entrance reach the other villages and beaches of the island and a covered parking is available.
The harbour of Forio is connected to the mainland only by hydrofoils, while those of Casamicciola and Ischia, respectively at a distance of 4 and 8 km, also by ferries.
