Zermatt luxury catered and self-catered Chalet Castor is one of our four unique, and for Zermatt very rare, residences (our Chalet Gemini, Chalet Pollux and Chalet Ibron being the others): a luxurious three storey chalet with 4 double bedrooms.
Chalet Castor is a luxurious semi-detached chalet with mountain views, built in traditional Alpine style and bathed in sun as soon as it emerges. On 3 floors there are 4 bedrooms with TV and en-suite bathrooms, a fireplace and are very well equipped open plan kitchen. On the private terrace there is an outdoor hot-tub. All four bedrooms can be configured with double or twin beds. There is also a utility room with washing machine and dryer, and a guest W/C.
Accessed through a tunnel and lift, the chalet has magnificent views over the village and mountains, yet is close to the Matterhorn Express lift station and 4 minute walk from the church square. Guests can leave their skis and boots in the tunnel’s ski-room.
Its location provides the best of both worlds: spectacular views and easy access. 200m from the Matterhorn Express base lift station and resort run there is a street level tunnel which leads you to a lift (elevator) built inside the mountain, from the top of which there is a gentle 2 minute walk to the property and an exterior stairway. The chalet comes with an electro wagon and stair-lift which our staff will use to move your luggage and shopping as required.
This luxurious ski chalet with 4 bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, large enough for families or groups of 8. All bedrooms can be configured as twins, and have their own TV.
Zermatt luxury catered ski chalet Castor is a rare gem; a large independent chalet in Zermatt which has been conceived to meet your needs and wishes to the fullest possible extent.
Chalet Castor and Chalet Pollux (each sleeps 8) are adjacent to each other and opposite Chalet Ibron (sleeps 8), as well as our other 5 star freestanding chalet, Chalet Gemini, which sleeps a further 10 people. All these chalets may be rented together (Les Perles) enabling a group of up 16, 18, 24, 26 or 34 guests to stay in the same location while benefiting from the space and privacy that only a sole-occupancy luxury chalet can provide.

They will offer you a very high standard of half-board dining and service in the chalet, while our dedicated housekeeping team will take care of the daily cleaning.
