A luxury Italian holiday in Umbria takes you to a region of intimate hill-towns, some inhabited since the Etruscans called this part of Italy home. Its rolling hills and inviting valleys offer a riot of colourful wildflowers in the spring. Criss-crossed bike and walking trails roll over the landscape, some of which follow the route taken by St Francis. In some parts of this impressive landscape, there’s a silence that’s difficult to find in other parts of the country.
Umbria, often called Italy’s green heart, has a powerful sense of tradition. Its towns and cities are smaller and more authentic in many ways, allowing you to see the ‘untouched Italy’.
With magnificent palaces, thought-provoking museums, Romanesque cathedrals and picturesque churches, each with its own place in history, it’s easy to binge on art and culture. Umbria is a remarkable place to get away from it all. It’s rustic, historic and, like many things Italian, romantic – just right for couples looking for some together time.
There are grottos, galleries, cellars and caves, some of which date to the Etruscan era. If you’re a music aficionado, head to Perugia’s Jazz Festival, which is held in July, and offers a wonderful range of events. Alternatively, indulge at the Chocolate Festival of Perugia, which takes place in October.
ABOUT THE VILLA
Italian gem is called Pergugia Villa and is situated in Umbria.
Nestled in the greenery of the Umbrian hills, in the middle valley of the Tevere near Perugia in San Venanzo, Villa is located at an altitude of 450 meters above sea level.
A classic Italian architectural structure, a blend of vineyards in an Umbrian hillside, a succession of organised spaces such as an inner courtyard, a greenhouse, an infinity pool that is visually striking: all these things create an enchanting setting.
Each outdoor space is habitable and treated like a unique setting, where the utmost attention is paid to every tiny aspect to make it a jewel, immersed in nature and perfectly integrated with its surroundings.
We offer six suites, each with a different design but with a distinctive style and classic Italian flair. The two luxury bedrooms and two studios in the main house are very spacious and have been recently renovated.
Each piece of furniture is gentle and contemporary, connected to the outside by large glass windows. In the adjoining house “Dependance”, there are two more flats with integrated kitchens and amazing views of the whole of Perugia.
The stunning infinity pool of over 20 metres has an impressive view over the Villa Bucher vineyards, which stretch over 65 hectares, growing a variety of grapes for our exclusive wine collection. You can taste this selection while sitting next to the pool overlooking the entire of Perugia. With over 300 m2 of outdoor space on beautifully furnished terraces, you can sit for hours in the comfortable sofas and unwind in the sun.

Every piece of furniture is softly modern and combined with the exterior’s settings through big glass windows. The wide living area, which is really bright during the day and illuminated by a dim light during the evening, infuses a sense of intimacy that continues in the rooms and the other areas. A classically modern setting that can narrate the past through the present.
Dependence
The adjoining house has 2 apartments with an integrated kitchen and a 360° view of the whole region of Perugia. On a clear day, you also can see the old castles from Todi. The silence and the foresight give a feeling of calm and balance. Both areas can be inhabited independently. The wine cellar was built under the Dependance in 2021. It is used to present and store the wine bottles and to give the guests the possibility to realise a wine tasting on the villa. A special location for a special occasion.
Bedrooms
All 6 suites are designed differently but have a memorable style and classic Italian flair. Furnished with a king-size bed and comfortable sofa, each room has its own bathroom with bath and shower. Stylish decoration with warm colours gives you an immediate feeling of well-being.
Pool 20x8m
The stunning infinity pool with over 20m has an impressive view over the vineyard from the Villa Bucher. Lots of space in the pool area with the perfect water temperature invite you to relax and enjoy all day. The sunset at the end of the pool is a real highlight.
The Vineyard
Immersed in the green of the Umbrian hills, situated in the area of the middle valley of the Tevere, Villa Bucher Vineyard is located with a panoramic view over the heart of Italy.
Extended over 65 hectares, 6.5 of which designed for grapes production, for its position it benefits from a microclimate favourable to the vine. The well-balanced harmony of climatic factors such as sun, light, air, ventilation and rainfall produces fruits capable of generating high-quality wines, true interpreters of the peculiarities of the territory.
The various types of produced grapes are all hand-picked and vinified separately, in order to derive from each the best quality result. The resulting wines are endowed with a strong personality, great structure and are gifted with longevity; for this reason, the reds, in particular, are well-suited for long ageing.
VILLA’S company even represents a niche in the world of wines production, nevertheless, it intends to be affordable for all consumers whose aim is the sensitivity to local products.
